I can't believe it's that time of year again. I will be giving away two lovely, laminated bookmarks, one for each year I've been blogging. We'll have a special prize draw to celebrate! How about we make it that you give me your favorite quote and the book/author it came from? The best two will win a bookmark each! Here are the two delicious bookmarks available. I chose two divergent styles to cover both the whimsical people and the detail oriented folks. (Click to Enlarge and see detail.)
In your entry, please tell me which one you would
prefer. I'll try to make that happen. (Jenn crosses fingers that the two best quotes don't want the same bookmark...) All entries must be received before midnight January 11. I'll choose the winners and announce them here on January 12. Good luck! Just click on "Comments" at the end of this post and leave your comment to enter into my draw. What you'll need to tell me is:
- Your name.
- Your quote.
- The book and/or author it came from.
- Your email address so I can contact you if you win.
- Which bookmark you'd prefer.
- Please also make sure you're following my blog and/or my Etsy Shop!
I look forward to all your quotes. I love quotes and actually collect them! My favorite is:
“Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." (Robert A. Heinlein from Time Enough For Love)
I'll be back soon with some new art. It's being a great year, so far! Hehehe. Yea for 2012!
Best,

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all how wonderful to be so talented!
Second, hi from across the bay! I live just north of Seattle.
Third, the main thing that drew me to you was your name -- it's the same as my sister's and she's an artist too!

Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and I think your work is beautiful! I followed you here from the Blogaholic site and I'm happy I did.
My quote is not from a book, but it's one of my favs "...This is your life, don't play hard to get..." Freddy Mercury, "Play the Game." I collect quotes, as well, because I find them inspiring and encouraging.
You can reach me on Blogaholic and I would be happy to win either of your bookmarks. Thanks, Jen and all the best to you!
Hi Jenn,
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite quotatons is from Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas ...
"To begin at the beginning: It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent and the hunched courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboat-bobbing sea."
I'd be pleased to receive either bookmark!
Thanks

Thanks so much for sharing the love and including Inspire Me Monday on your sidebar! Both of your bookmarks are awesome - I love the symmetry of Beetlejuice and the colors and possibilities of Magic Carpet Ride - so, if you pick me, I shall leave the choice in your hands!
ReplyDeleteHere is my quote - which, I discovered today through Inspire Me Monday. It's from The Secret Garden by Francess Hodgson Burnett:
Two things cannot be in one place. Where you tend a rose, my lad, a thistle cannot grow.
I'm following your fabulous blog!

Hello, Jenn!
ReplyDeleteI'm Cheree. jasoncheree@gmail.com
Well, I thought I was already a follower but, I guess now I am your very newest follower! Also following your etsy shop.
I love the Beetlejuice bookmark, though the other is almost as great.
Oh gosh, I love quotes! I used to keep a book of them but then I was writing down so much it was interrupting my reading! LOL Here's a short one that pops into my head, tho: "The occasion for the struggle is the occasion for the victory." Fr. Jean d'Elbee "I Believe In Love"
Thanks for the give-away!
