Artist's Play Room #43

So, last week our theme was MAIL ART. I picked this theme to support FEATURING's call for mail art. The magazine is doing an article for issue 4 about this subject and I am hoping that some of you send in your mail art, you never know, it just might get picked for inclusion! Although I don't do much mail art, I do love the idea behind it. The mutual sharing of creativity through the mail is so seductive an idea. It also helps just thinking of all the colourful art you could receive in your mailbox just by participating in a mail art swap. Here are the pieces you all created with love...

If you haven't read the rules & guidelines, please go here. If you've landed here after this challenge has been completed but would like to participate in a current or future Artist's Play Room Challenge, just either click on the APR button in the sidebar or click here and you'll be taken to the latest APR Challenge!

Are you having trouble using the Mr. Linky to add your submissions to APR? Well here's some help! Just click on HELP and you'll be taken to my Linky Help Page. Cool, huh? I've got your back!

I want to know what's in your pantry. Yes, I'm a snoop, but hey, at least I'm not rummaging through your medicine cabinet. That's just so rude. Hehehe. So I was thinking that there must be so many, many interesting things to paint, draw or collage in your pantry, I mean, you could even take the labels off a bunch of cans and use them in your art!! Anyway, I'm sure you are all coming up with great ideas like paint the package of tea you just bought or be inspired by the cool chili label on your lunch. Here are some examples to help...

  4. Cor! Didn't think I'd get this one, but I did and it's 'outside the box' too I think - for me :)

Must say too, Jenn, that my mail art arrived with it's new owner - our very own Doodly Bird, Lynn Holland. I'm delighted to say, that she likes it :0)

  5. Sorry to be a nuisance but I really did think I have done everything right this time ...... but my picture still does not appear.
Don't know what to do next, but I'll see if my daughter is available tomorrow and see if she can help.
Love all the Pantry pictures posted so far. I would like mine to be up there with them as well.

  6. See my Pantry pic is up there now, so either it was slow arriving, or Jenn was kind and somehow did it for me.
All such great work, and I'm really enjoying this challenge site - thanks Jenn.

  7. I have been looking at people's blogs and leaving comments where I can. But I am not able to leave comments on TwinkleToes2day and a couple of others because Yahoo wants me to sign in to them instead of/in addition to Google.
I don't wish to do that, I am happy enough with the Google, and Yahoo are asking for security info which I don't want to give.
So if I have not left a comment it wasn't because I haven't tried a couple of times, and I apologise to those whose work I would love to comment on.

  9. Oops! Almost forgot to leave my comment. Mine's pretty simple: I'm a newbie to 2D forms, so I'd appreciate any tips those of you who are more experienced would like to offer.

I haven't had time to visit any of the other sites yet, but when we return from lunch (Chinese New Year performance!), I'll be checking back.
