Artist's Play Room #25

Hello again, we've finished another week of APR and are about to start another. Before I get to this week's theme, let's go through the terrific entries to last week's theme of "What's Your Inspiration?". It was quite wonderful reading about all your thoughts on what makes you want to create art. So many takes on this week's theme, and it seems everyone actually appreciated the "push" to think about the topic. Without further ado, here's this week's artwork...

Twinkletoes did a tag
showing some of the
people and art that
inspires her.

Tracey did two huge
tea mugs, she says
things around her &
tea inspire her to make art.

Victoria has done a beautiful
painting that makes her
think of nature, magic
and creation.

Although Von was lamenting
that she's not sure what
inspires her, I think right now
she's inspired by cute fur!! ;o)

I'm inspired by so many things
but Tracey's quote right now
is so helping me learn what
kind of artist I want to be.

Gloria is inspired by so
many things, including
new lessons and art supplies.
This painting is the result!

Currie is inspired by her
process, creating is
inspirational to her because
it reminds her she is an artist.

Serena is inspired, among other
things, nature, as you can see in
this lovely hibiscus. I've wanted to
do one, I think I will!

Lisa is inspired by layers,
whispers and hints of what
lies beneath. She takes pleasure
in painting over layers, creating
a history in the painting.

Gina is inspired by the
fact that she can put what
is in her head onto paper
and make it come out great!

Darla has done a fairy, she
is inspired by art challenges
that stretch her skills and
give her new ideas.

Tracy is inspired
by her own imag-
ination which she
lets run wild!

Terrie is inspired by both
books and people from
the blogosphere. Go over to

Alicia and her husband are
inspired by their organic
finds that they burn and
paint up to sell.

Neesie is inspired by her
bloggy artist friends &
her daughter who
painted this painting.
Gorgeous.

Arnoldo is inspired by God and his beautiful family

This week, instead of ME telling YOU my favorite color, I want YOU to show ME YOUR favorite color. Go, make a piece of art that celebrates your very favorite color. If you just can't pick then I guess you'll be submitting a rainbow! Hehehe. Seriously though, I can't wait to see the plethora of beautiful colors in APR this week. Feel free to add other colors, this is NOT a monochromatic challenge, just try to highlight your favorite. SO, Pick your favorite color. GO!
