When Artists Cook

A good friend of mine, Dion Dior,  has started a very cool new series called "When Artists Cook" (click the icon to read the series so far). It is a continuing series focusing on how five artists make both food and art. The question is, how does the fact that one is an artist affect how one is in the kitchen? This is what Dion had to say about what the series will be about...

"My vision for this (ongoing) series is intimate & personal, not a challenge-like process. I want the readers to find out about the contributing artists, their favorite recipes, a dialogue about their philosophy & approach to cooking, all with images of their culinary and related art (utensils, herbs, boxes of ingredients, fruit & vegetables & table settings with beautiful dishes etc.) I want to showcase the culinary art for the sake of the art itself with recipes, cooking tips and ideas as a bonus that the readers can take away and try."

So, go check out this fantastic new series. There will be a new "When Artists Cook" post up approximately every week on Dion's blog. There'll be cool ideas, recipes and always great art.
