I was trying to come up with an idea of what to draw for this week's challenge. At first I was thinking maybe a bird, then zentangle his wings or draw a macro flower and zentangle it's petals. I finally decided on two ideas. One was to draw a piece of parchment, an ink bottle, blotter and fountain pens then have the zentangle "flowing" out of the pen nib and moving across the parchment. My second idea was to do a chinese bowl filled with noodles and then have several sets of chop sticks scattered around with the zentangles decorating them. The pen, ink and parchment drawing is only half finished but I do have the chopsticks drawing completed. Here it is...

this work is amazing, it makes my heart squeeze just a bit to look at it,,,,before I started losing my sight this was the type of work I LOVED to do, I love the challenge of detail, you do this sooo well,

ReplyDeleteokay you have inspired me to give a bit of tangling a go.... your is gorgeous and I am going to endeavour to do a decent job before I go completely mad, but if I am found in a mess surrounded by chocolate wrappers and babbling about tangles it is on your head...xx

ReplyDeleteHow very cool is that?! Your Zentangles are a-maaazing, my friend. Now, it's not exactly what I would call "doodling" as you put so much thought into your work. It's hard to imagine this a free-form but I am sure everyone's brain works in different ways. You're the yin to my yang, girlfriend!! Makes me want to try my hand at Zentangling....
