Last week's Artist's Play Room had it's theme around gardening and gardens. I encouraged (as always) you to think outside of the box. The great thing about all the participants of APR is that you DID think outside the box and you made some spectacular art. Before I get to this week's theme (it's Canada's Birthday tomorrow, hint, hint) let's show off all your yummy pieces... I love this part.

Gloria has painted a bright & beautiful flower. I love the color. | Gloria's second submission is a cute worm on a mushroom! | Darla has done a darling thing using a scanner and a simple daisy. So refreshing! |

Sandee drew a sweet hummingbird feeder, maybe we'll attract some hummingbirds! Love them. | Twinkletoes did a collage of butterflies, bees & dragonflies. Very sweet. | Arnoldo has done a lovely religious piece of Jesus in the garden, I love the colors. | Tracey painted her nemesis, the big green hose machine. It tries to eat her hand regularly! |

Dion has just moved to a new home and this is the beautiful garden she's inherited. Congrats! | Terrie has played with Photoshop and given us this wondrous selection. Beautiful! | Bonnie has done a lovely journal page of colorful flowers, just beautiful Bonnie. Welcome! |

Elizabeth combined IA and APR and did a journal page about gardening, lovely! | Minn has painted up a storm and produced some really gorgeous produce from the garden. Wow Min, just wow. | Lynn did a garden themed tag with a doodly bird flying over, watering her garden, so darn cute!! |

Tracy has made a sweet little fairy garden, her first. I can just imagine the fairies hiding in the foliage! | Alice is an incredible photographer although she's taking a break to focus on other kinds of art. | Serena has done a wonderfully expressive line drawing of her Dracaena plant using ONLY pen. That takes talent and guts! So great! |
Are you having trouble using the Mr. Linky to add your submissions to APR? Well here's some help! Just click on HELP and you'll be taken to my Linky Help Page. Cool, huh? I've got your back!

ReplyDeleteI hope I can wrap my brain around it long enough to create something this week.....darn life keeps getting in the way of living....LOL
blessings,
Cindy♥
It was suggested I show my Bag of Treasure as Vintage Canada. I hope you like it

I love your Maple Leaf, I love leaves in general so I am going subtle Canada on mine, lol eh? waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteDrawings like that always take longer than you think they are going to... but it was worth the wait, that is just gorgeous my friend... really wonderful...xx
ReplyDeleteI know I'm a couple of days late, but I hope all the Canadians around here had a fab Canada Day on Sunday/Monday.
ReplyDeleteI added a telephone because it was a Canadian who invented the telephone. Likewise the basketball. The flags and Maple tree are obvious. The Maple leaf is also obvious bUt, it is a picture of part of a new door rug I actually just bought yesterday! No, not because it had Maple leaves on it, haha, but that turned out to be a fine coincidence for me and gave me the idea for this collage ;)
Thank you for any comments you may leave :0) x
I love your watering can painting! Thanks for the inspiration, although I didn't take it literally this time. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteFun challenge, I kind of combined our countries - just erased the border for my art.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Your watering can/garden collection is MARVELOUS! Beautiful reflection of light! So I am neither Canadian nor American and my piece is no reflection on either nationality - let us just get that out of the way. It is a reflection of the occasional ME:-/ Sigh. It is an older piece I had and fit the colors well, albeit not the festive celebrations mentioned! Just love me anyway, would you?:-)
ReplyDeletefinally, jenn, this took me forever. ha! but it's done and i like it a lot! i think the deer is going to end up in a frame and going to my husband :), fun challenge! thanks for putting this together for us!
ReplyDeleteAnother fun challenge that helped me produce more than I thought I could or would. Thank you, Jenn! I enjoyed looking through almost everyone's entries last night. Just a couple more to check on today.
ReplyDeleteThis started out as a mess, but after a bit of rework, I was able to meet your challenge on time. I wanted to be sure to get this in on time and with the help of a few friends, was able to get back online in time to meet your deadline.
ReplyDeleteBleubeard is purring, too!
Hey Jenn.....I posted an older Canadian Post before I realized that I didn't give any connection to your site....sorry....I would have deleted but there doesn't seem to be that option......
