I adding jewelry to my line on Etsy. This is my first completed piece that will go up for sale. No, correction, this piece is going to a new blog friend who's doing a feature on me and giving away this piece and one of my original bookmarks too. I'll post about the giveaway soon so you all can go enter! The glass lockets are original pieces of art behind glass. They're double-sided, glass on either side and the artwork is therefore (obviously) double-sided. Here's my doodle submission this week, I took some creative license with the word "doodle", lol.

So, this week's challenge is "create art from the inspiration around you". I have several examples to help you think outside of the box.

p.s. Your locket rocks....very clever!!!
You know, I didn't think I had time to enter this week but then I realized what I was working on WAS inspired by things around me. Woot! Hope it wasn't too much of a stretch. Some of the things (like other artists) aren't really near me but the real catalyst, a junebug, was ON me. Is that near enough? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm here....ready for the next challenge....LOL
ReplyDeleteSo around me are 5 little boys all under the age of 8. I live, breath, eat and are assaulted by, I mean inspired by movement, sword fights, conquerors, energy, chaos, galumphing, calloohs, callays and frabjous days! I did this sketch for The Twenty Minute Challenge a few weeks (months? centuries?) ago, but decided to add watercolor and use it for this APR topic, for my tribe are indeed colorful beings:-)!
ReplyDeletePhew! I made it!! :)
ReplyDeletejust made it!!!! bit of a close call but glad I got there...xx
