Hehehe, I guess I actually will lose my marbles when I finally send my sketchbook to be in the 2011 Sketchbook Project Tour. I love how graphic the marbles are. I'm definitely going to have to do another painting/drawing of marbles. There's something about the cool designs within their glass and their perfect roundness. But then I like painting peas too, so... lol.
The next page is a new technique I tried. I used a cross-hatching technique using my watercolor pencils and I'm thrilled with how it turned out. This makes me think that I want to explore cross-hatching again but instead use fine point markers. Because the pencils don't stay sharp very long, the cross hatching is less prominent. I'm thinking of procuring some replacement nibs for my Copic markers. I know they make extra fine nibs so I want to look into those.
There'll be more artwork soon. Can I entice you back with a cup of Starbucks hot cocoa?? I just bought a huge canister of it at Costco. Yummm, warm winter evenings here I come. Anyone got any marshmallows? :o)
