Doris Day Said Don't Eat The Daisies

My sketchbook is going "swimmingly well", as they say. I'd have to say that this double page is my favorite so far. I used pen & ink and Copic markers to give dimension to the subject. Here we go...

Kinda cool, huh? I've finally figured out a way to do the centers of daisies that look half way decent. I especially love the daisy on the right, the way I actually captured how it's leaning toward the sun. I'm thinking that I'll use the Doris Day movie as the hint. Maybe I'll do something like put the title in bold, minus the daisies part then mention David Niven and Doris Day and 1960. Does anyone have any other daisy suggestions? OOh, maybe I'll use falling petals with "he loves me" and "he loves me not" written on them.

I'm also doing a tulip double page. I think I'll do the background black and the tulip in a bright pink or a red. Here's the sketch.

That's all for now folks. Talk soon? Yes? Good! Happy upcoming Thanks Giving to my Canadian friends!
